Swinging Flies

Fishing is a constant learning curve and adding new flies and different fishing styles only adds to the bulk of knowledge and techniques we anglers retain. This year was no different as I started to use the two handed rod and played with a handfull of different hooks, hook styles, trailing hooks on braided loops and tube flies ect. Each different technique seems to have it's advantages and disadvantages and with a bit more experience I am sure I will continue to refine my approach. Here's a few of the flies that I have been throwing lately.

  1. That last buck I hot took the top fly, David gave me some good tips on the mallard flank (props).

  4. Those are pretty Matt, but you ever tried soaking shiners or crawlers for steelhead. Great action and probably save you some time not having to tie them flies. Do like the website though.
